2016 the „Lake Yamanaka International Music Festival “ goes into its 9th season. What makes this festival so special is that musicians from different countries, with different cultural background and different tradition of instruments are creating a program that is absolute unique in its variety of music pieces and music styles as well as in its combination of instruments.
All musicians will perform in each concert with different pieces of music and in different combinations of instruments.
A main part of each concert will be the performance of the festival directors Johannes and Eduard Kutrowatz as Piano Duo Kutrowatz.
Each Concert will be opened and closed with a performance of special piano duo piece. During the festival the piano Duo Kutrowatz will perform music pieces of Franz Liszt, Johann Sebastian Bach, Dave Brubeck, Astor Piazzolla, Ryuichi Sakamoto and many more.
Christian Scholl, Violin player from German and concert master will perform pieces from Dmitrij Schostakowich, Arvo Pärt, Sergej Prokofieff and the virtuous „Zigeuner Weisen“ of Pablo Sarasate. Luis Zorita, Cello player from Spain, will perform the famous Cello Suite Nr. 1 of Joh. Seb. Bach and the touching Elegy of french composer Gabriel Faure.
Cynthia Liao, Viola Player from Taiwan, will bring the „Russian Spirit“ to the audience of the festival with music from P. I. Tschaikovsky, A. Rubinstein and A. Glasunow.
Eriko Kumazawa, Hiroshi Yonezawa and Masahiro Myiami will bring many new pieces on the stage of Yamanakako Festival. Pieces from following japanese composers will be performed: Hirohisa Akigishi, Hiromasa Aizawa, Seihou Kineya, Minori Miki and many more!
The traditional japanese instruments Koto, Shakuhachi and Shamisen will perform as soloists, in different kinds of duet and trio, but also in combination with strings.
We invite our audience to enjoy these exciting meeting of classical and romantic masterpieces, japanese music tradition and the creation of absolute new sound combinations! A bridge between different worlds will be built with music! A new language will be created that everybody will be able to understand and being able to speak!
